Description
For the Benjamin Franklin Hospital (CBF), Jansen Systembau manufactured and installed a sound-insulating cabin as a room-in-room solution in a doctor's duty room. In this room, patients work on tasks on a monitor for a period of up to 60 minutes.
In addition to a spatial shielding from the room environment, the requirements include good acoustic separation in a small space (W x L x H: 1,300 mm x 1,500 mm x 2,700 mm). Important criteria for the execution work were a clean and inconspicuous construction site and a short construction time. Adequate lighting as well as ensured air circulation by a low-noise fan with integrated sound-proof ventilation grille promote the well-being of the patient while he or she concentrates on the task.
In addition to the soundproof wall and ceiling panels, the scope of delivery included a door and viewing window with soundproof glass, a floor system with PVC covering, a desk top, a small room fan and sealing profiles. Due to the pre-assembled and electrically pre-wired modular construction, a quick and uncomplicated assembly without dust generation was possible, so that the cabin could be directly occupied and used after a construction period of six hours.
