Measuring room for the company Klostermann GmbH, Remscheid

The company KLOSTERMANN Ingenieurbüro und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, based in Remscheid, has been supplying measuring machines for over 30 years and offers extensive services in the field of contract metrology. In order to expand the capacities a new measuring room had to be built. 

The approx. 110 m² large measuring room with the dimensions 8.00 x 14.00 m was to be equipped with a large sectional door without disturbing central supports in the steel construction. Due to the large spans, a steel substructure was already planned in the offer phase. The sectional door (3.5m x 3.0m) from Jansen Tore was attached to the steel construction and, together with the 80 mm thick and highly insulating wall and ceiling elements, formed the optimal shell of the room.

In addition, there were special construction windows made of 26 mm insulating glass and a single-leaf door, also produced by Jansen Systembau GmbH & Co.KG.

In order to obtain high-precision measurement results, a measurement room must have the best possible sealing in the area of doors, gates and windows. In addition, high-quality insulation is required, which is realized by profiles with foamed sealing materials. The supplied measuring room in combination with the specially designed air conditioning technology ensures a stable temperature inside of 20°C +/- 1K.

For an optimal room acoustics a second ceiling design was realized as a suspended version. The grid ceiling provides the 5.00 m high room with good room acoustics and a suitable gap for the laying of the air conditioning lines. With an absorption coefficient of approx. 90 %, the ceiling ensures excellent room acoustics - for a pleasant working environment
